Jack Altmeyer
After 34 years of loyal service, Hendrick is regrettably announcing the retirement of John “Jack” Altmeyer. As of September 30, 2011, Jack has hung up his briefcase to enjoy retirement while spending more time with his wife, Ann, and their eight grandchildren.This will mark the first time since 1977 that Jack will not be representing Hendrick as a Regional Sales Representative in the territories of New York and Canada. Jack originally began Altmeyer & Company in 1974, selling raw materials to various manufacturers in New York, Pennsylvania, and Southern Ontario. Prior to beginning his own company, Jack worked as the Regional Sales Manager for Alan Wood Steel Company for 16 years. Additionally, Jack is an alumnus of Harvard University, where he received his degree in Economics.In Jack’s spare time, he has notably served as an Alpine Course Referee at the 1980 Lake Placid Olympics, and has served on the Town Board of Cazenovia for 11 years.On behalf of Hendrick, congratulations to Jack on his richly deserved retirement!

Project:
During the 1st quarter of 2011 Hendrick Architectural Products Group completed a $1,061,605 project that included walk in mats, wall grilles, and wall panels that were used in the renovation of Terminal II of the San Francisco Airport.

Hendrick Screen provided supplied16,000 square feet (1,486 m2) of its Profile Bar Wire in 304L stainless steel for a 145-foot- (44-m-) high by 26-foot- (8-m-) wide stainless-steel CityCenter sign that was designed by Gensler and built by Las Vegas-based Casino Lighting & Sign.

Facility Upgrades
Hendrick Manufacturingcompletes energy-efficient lighting project
Hendrick announces the completion and conversion of its manufacturing plant lighting to a more energy-efficientFluorescent fixture. The project is estimated to reduce their energy usage by 850,000 KWH per year. The environmental benefits are equivalent to removing 120 cars off the road.
New Equipment
Hendrick recently purchased a Trumpf 5170 press brake. A 14 foot, 190 ton CNC hydraulic press brake, adding to our existing and fabricating capabilities and will allow us to make precision bends in a variety of materials. A new Trumpf 5000 CNC press was also added to increase our perforating capacity.
